Bathtub Kitty

One morning I woke up and heard a sound coming from the bathroom...Oli was in the tub trying to drink water out of the faucet.  I realized his fancy water purifier was in the dishwasher and that maybe his little bowl was out of water.  Since I was still half asleep, I got up and turned on the water in the bathroom so he could get a drink.  Later that day, I realized this was a bigtime parenting mistake.  Now whenever I turn on the water for a shower or a bath, Oli comes running and jumps in the tub.  This has become a treat for him to drink out of the faucet.  On occasion he even sits in the tub and cries at me.  On another note, he also likes to chew on the shower curtains!

Mean People

Every now and then we all meet someone who appears to be the biggest a-hole on the planet.  About a week ago, I met one of these people at the grocery store (I must mention I was not at my usual store).  I was checking out in line at the grocery store and I asked the teenage cashier if I had to lift the 12-packs of pop and the 24-pack of bottled water onto the checkout counter.  He told me yes that they had to be moved in order to be scanned.  Since I had been lifting a lot that day, I politely informed him that I was pregnant and asked him if he would mind helping me.  His response..."You got them onto the cart, you can get them onto the check-out counter'!!!!  What a jerk.  So I proceeded to lug everything out of the cart and pay.  Then I noticed he wasn't bagging my groceries and I politely asked him for paper bags.  He informs me that I am in the "you bag it" lane and that I should read the sign.  So I bag my groceries and notice that no one is in line behind me and the baggers in the 2 adjacent "we bag it" lanes have no customers.  One older bagger finally offers to help me and puts my bread in a bag....thanks for that.  Needless to say, I will not be shopping in that store again.
